Oats Vada - Oats Vadai

Oats vadai - Love cooking with oats...so i keep trying something every now and then..Vad with oats tastes really good..

Ingredients:

Oats:1 cup

Vada dhal:1/2 cup

Onion:1,finely chopped

Green chillies:2

Red chilli powder:1/4 tsp

Cumin:1/4 tsp,powdered

Ginger:1 cm

Salt to taste

Preparation:

Soak the oats in little hot water in a bowl..

Soak vada dhal for 30 minutes in water...

Grind the vada dhal in a mixer or a grinder in to a fine paste..

Now to the ground vada dhal paste,add the finely chopped onion,chopped green chillies,powdered cumin,red chilli powder,salt and chopped ginger and mix well..

Finally add the soaked oats and mix well..

Make small balls and flatten them a bit....

Fry these in oil...

when one side of the vada turns light brown,flip over the other side till it is done...

Crispy vada is now ready to be served!!!!

This will make a lovely evening snack!!!
