We added caramel on top of the pies after baking. You can also sprinkle them with icing sugar, or add toasted almonds, melted chocolate, a spoonful of heavy cream, some whipped cream or even a scoop of ice cream!
How to store these pies?
Store for 3 days in an airtight container.
Can I replace apples?
You can replace the apples with other fruits such as pears or apricots for example. You can also make these thin pies with vegetables, replace the butter with olive oil and add the spices of your choice!
Can these pies be made gluten-free?
You can of course replace the puff pastry with a gluten-free puff pastry without worries!
