A Day of Green

Happy St. Patty?s Day!

I?m glad you all enjoyed my trip down memory lane! I love looking back at old photos, especially ones from college!

A few answers to the questions about the photos..

Yes, my chest was a bit larger back in the day. Throughout college I wore a 36D, but when I started loosing weight the breasts were the first things to go. I dropped to a 34B and have never looked back. Larger breasts aren?t as fun as they seem. If I had the option to go bigger I wouldn?t do it in a heartbeat, however; the option to go perkier would be another thing all together?
I can?t believe someone recognized Emily from the photos! Yes, that?s my BFF Emily! We actually hung out for the first time at St. Patty?s Day 2005 and always refer to that as our friendship anniversary. Happy Friendship Anniversary Emily!! I can?t believe we met 5 years ago today!
Last, but not least, yes I knew Anthony before he became Kelly?s Anthony. Anthony was roommates with my ex-boyfriend in college and my ex and I would hang out with Anthony all the time. I always tease Kelly that when ever her and Anthony get married one day I have a boatload of embarrassing stories to share in my toast that involve Anthony. Kelly and Anthony knew each other in passing as well, but it wasn?t until a trip to Ft. Lauderdale together in May of 2008 that they decided they liked each other. Well, I think they liked each other before then, but my guess is a couple of yard long drinks and an infamous straw (don?t ask) was what sealed the deal for those two.

I think I got them all there. ;)

This morning I started St. Patty?s Day off with a 6 mile run. I got out the door a little later than usual and my garmin took forever to sync (when will I ever learn my lesson to set it outside ahead of time?!?!), so my run had to be a speedy one to make sure I covered all 6 miles. I ended up keeping under a 9:00 minute pace and made it back to the apartment just in time for a quick stretch and shower.

The great breakfast waiting for me back home was all the motivation I needed during my run.

Particularly this big hunk of Irish Soda Bread warmed under the broiler and slathered with almond butter.

Such a filling and tasty combo. Would it be wrong to eat the same thing for lunch to? Nom Nom Nom :)

I balanced out the huge chunk of bread with a fruit and yogurt cup that contained a plum, strawberries, cacao nibs, plain yogurt, and a sprinkle of granola.

Surprisingly this was a very filling breakfast. I fell STUFFED. I blame it on the very dense bread. :)

I?m off to a meeting.

Have a great St. Patty?s Day everyone!!
