Beetroot Poriyal
Beetroot Poriyal Ingredients chopped onion - 1 green chilli - 1 beetroot - 2 salt to taste oil - 2 tea spoon mustard seeds - 1/2 tea spoon urad dal - 1 tea spoon Method Peel the skin of beetroot, wash and cut it into small square pieces. Slit chilli into two. Heat oil in tava. Saute mustard seeds, urad dal with onion. Add green chilli and beetroot with enough salt. Stir well. Close the lid and cook in low flame with instant stir. This poriyal will be very tasty with sweet, salt and chilli flavour. Can be taken along with rice as a side dish. If the beetroot is grated and cooked based on the same procedure then it can be placed within chapathi and chapathi rolls can be made which will be favourable for kids.
