Cheese Ravioli
If you are a SUNY Purchase student and have eaten at Terra Ve, you have seen the newly revamped layout. Even with the new look, Terra Ve still offers some of the old favorites. One dish I always grab if it is the ?menutainment? of the day is raviolis. Rich, filling and more often then not, very tasty, raviolis are near the top of my list of favorites things from Terra Ve.This trusted Italian favorite is filled with cheese, or sometimes spinach and cheese, since Terra Ve is an all-vegetarian eatery they do not offer any meat ravioli options. Each order is made just for you with the options of marinara sauce, alfredo sauce or a yummy combination of both. Today however, I was slightly disappointed. It was the first time Terra Ve served the raviolis this year, as far as I am aware, and they were just not as amazingly delicious as I remember. The marinara sauce did not have the yummy chunky tomatoes it typically did, the alfredo sauce looked like white water, and the raviolis were extremely mushy. For some reason there was the option to throw parsley on top, and to me it did nothing but add a bit of green to the bland color palette and made it taste like I had a nice autumn day on my plate. As an Italian I will inhale anything pasta that is placed in front of me, so I had no problem finishing my raviolis even if they were subpar. My friend however, said that the pasta was just too mushy for her to be able to eat, and ended up not finishing her lunch. I will always love the raviolis that Terra Ve serves, but I am disappointed. With such a new space you expect delicious food to be produced from the kitchen every time. Perhaps though with such a new set up going on certain aspects of Terra Ve have been put on the back burner while things are being worked out. Anyway, I hope next time they are serving cheese raviolis the experience is much better and urge anyone on campus that hasn?t tried them to go for it and dig into some yummy pasta grub. **In Picture: cheese ravioli, combination sauce (marinara and alfredo) and parsley** related searches : Cheese
