Double shots, broken trousers and best blogs?

I could live with Mrs F telling me on my way out the door this morning that my trousers had split. Well, it was only another 10 minutes to iron a new pair and get on my way again. But to arrive into Teach Basil to find that our coffee machine had been broken by Daniel O’Donnell was heartbreaking.

Hopefully normal service will be resumed, though there didn’t seem to be any sympathy from the few people downstairs I mentioned this to. Maybe that’s because they’re stuck with Nescafe.

I should really have taken some of my new love ? Starbucks’ Double Shot in a can. I saw it in Sainsbury’s recently and gave it a try and became instantly addicted. It is, essentially, two shots of espresso with some milk, and best served ultra cold (I normally stick it in the freezer for 10-15 minutes before drinking).

But on to more pressing matters. The new edition of our food and drink mag is out in two weeks and I’d like your opinions on what great food/drink blogs there are out there that are based in the North. Let me know your favourites for a little top 5 run down! You could even tell us about your own blog… nothing wrong with blowing your own trumpet!
