Chinese herbal chicken soup

Ingredients

Number of serving: 4
1/4 chicken (about 400g) - cut into bite sizes

1 packet Chinese herbs

1 inch old ginger - sliced

5 garlic - crushed

2 tbsp wolfberries/kei chi - soaked to soften

2 tbsp dried longans - soaked to soften

Sesame oil - as needed

Spring onion - as needed

Salt and pepper for taste

Preparation

  • Rinse herbs, place in a pot with chicken, garlic, ginger and 3/4 liter of water.

    Simmer over very low heat.

    This will probably take about 40 mins to 1 hour.

    Season with salt and pepper.

    Drizzle sesame oil and garnish with spring onions before serving.
