Eid Mubarak!! and Raita - A Yogurty Dip
November 17th, 2010 is Eid-ul-adha. Eid Mubarak to all of my friends, families, my fellow brothers and sisters in Islam. May this year be full of blessings for you all!! Ameen. My last post was on Chicken Biryani, the perfect this for Eid celebrations! Along with biryani, serve this cool and spicy raita to make it a complete meal for Eid or any other occassion. Raita - is an Indian condiment made of yogurt and spices, served along with any type of rice dishes (mostly). Ingredients: Two cups yogurt Half cup cold water Three-four green chilis Handful of fresh coriander leaves Four or five mint leaves Half tsp cumin seeds - grind to paste Salt per taste. Process: Grind together all the ingredients above in a mixie. Serve cold in a bowl or a small glass with chicken biryani. ENJOY!!!
