I look forward to trying some of her bread recipes!! And she has the Dark Chocolate Brownies that looks divine and I want to try making vegan. Man, I am making a large to bake list :) I enjoyed the gluten free vegan bread machine post from Gluten Free Vegan Munchies called sandwiches make me happy. Although it made me a little sad because I just gave away my bread machine before I found out I am allergic to wheat :( Sites Madhuram's Eggless Cooking provided me with the flax seed recipe above. The Fat Free Vegan has a gluten free page. As an online community for vegetarians and vegan who have celiac disease, vegiac.com has a lot to offer including books, recipes, restaurants, and more. Here is the link for gluten free vegan restaurants in Colorado, which I have been looking for and asking everyone I know for such recommendations. Even though this article was written several years ago, I really like the gluten substitutions chart. The article, The Gluten-Free Vegan Diet: Easier than it Sounds was found on VegFamily, The Magazine for Vegan Family Living. Here Laura Bruno writes an additional article on The Gluten Free Vegan diet including tricks she has learned, supplements, online shops, and recommended products. The Vegetarian Society has an information sheet for gluten free vegans with a very helpful chart, nutrition information and some links.Namaste Foods has a bunch of recipes that use their allergy friendly mixes. The Recipe Club by VegNews has a vegan Almond Cheese recipe and several links to Thanksgiving ideas. Restaurants in Colorado Boulder Most of these are recommendations from friends, although, some I know nothing about. Pei Wei has a gluten free menu and I think you can order any of the dishes with tofu instead of chicken. The Med Turley's has a large gluten free menu with a couple vegan options. Mad Greens VG Burgers has an asterisk by all of the gluten free options on their menu and they are "100% vegan & organic". The Leaf Vegetarian Restaurant has several entrees that are vegan and look like they might be GF, this needs some investigation. They have loads of vegan options, however I am not sure about GF, they have always been very accommodating so I am sure they would be able to come up with some GF options. I haven't been since I found out about my wheat allergy. The Happy Cow has a long list of vegan and vegetarian friendly places in Denver, but no mention of gluten free. Root Down! Yum, some of their menu items are available gluten free and vegan. Love this place. The Beet Box looks promising, they are a vegan bakery that has cookies, muffins, scones and cakes that are gluten free. They sell at the following places: Pablo?s Coffee, Wash Perk, Paris on the Platte, Sweet Action Ice Cream, The Queen Anne Bed & Breakfast, Fluid Coffee Bar, Cafe Europa, Crema Coffee House, Penn Street Perk, Hooked on Colfax, EVOBEAN, Grind Haus, and Yellow Feather Coffee. Mermaids Bakery offers GF cakes and cupcakes and some can be made vegan. Online Shops Azna Gluten Free is also vegan and sells many good looking products online, including those cinnamon bites to the right. Knowledge of this? Bueller? Allergy Grocer Oh my gosh, this is super cool!!! You can shop by allergen, wow! Cosmos Vegan Shoppe has gluten free vegan products. Rice nectar to replace honey, I haven't heard of this before. The Allergy Free Shop this site also has a search by allergen tool! Follow Your Heart sells Vegenaise, sauces, cream cheese, and sour cream that are vegan and gluten free. No way! Gluten free and vegan gel dessert (jello) from Vegan Essentials. Myrna & Cheryl's Skinny Crisps Gluten free, vegan crackers.
