HIGH FUEL PRICES = HIGH FOOD COSTS
![]() I just got back from a very swanky store known as Walmart. In recent months I have chosen to shop at Walmart for their large selection of merchandise & low prices. Hey man, things have changed! It seems like every item I purchased today had gone up in price. So what's the deal? Is it the Global economy? Has Walmart decided to become greedy? My opinion is that the high prices are skyrocketing because of the price of diesel fuel. Diesel is nearing $5.00 per gallon & it looks like $7.50 a gallon diesel is on the near horizon. While shopping, I spoke with an older lady about the spike in prices. She proclaimed that we don't grow anything in the United States anymore. This was a valid point considering the tomatoes I purchased were grown in Mexico. The older lady went on to talk about a wheat shortage in Russia & that the United States has shipped tons of wheat over to Russia. Well, this was news to me. In all honesty I spent $114.87 at Walmart today. I didn't even buy Beer! Best of luck to all of my readers! ********** related searches : High
