Indian Cottage Cheese- Cabbage Paratha, Paneer-Gobi Paratha
This is a great dish to eat with any sabji(vegetables), pickles, curd, chutney or sauce. In parathas you can use all varieties of vegetables easily depending upon the liking. Makes 10 large size parathas Servings : 4-5 Ingredients : Wheat flour 2 cups Chan dal (Bengal Gram) flour 1 cup Finally chopped cabbage 2 cups Grated paneer 1 cup Finally chopped large onion 1 Chopped green chilli 1 Cumin (jeera) powder 1/2 tsp Coriander seed powder 2 tsp Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp Curd from skimmed milk 1/2 cup Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder 1/4 tsp(optional) Oil / Ghee Salt to taste Method In a kadai heat one tsp oil and fry cabbage, onion and green chilli for 3-4 minutes. Remove from fire, keep it aside and leave to cool After that add paneer, wheat flour, besan, dhania-jeera powder, red chilli powder, curd, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and salt. Apply oil on the palm and knead the mixture very well to make a soft and smooth dough. Adjust water for the consistency. Making the parathas: Take a chapati board and roll out the dough into thick chapatis. Heat tawa(roti pan), apply ghee/oil on it. Cook paratha on both side Serve hot with chutney, curd, pickles,sabzi, sauce and ketchup. Preparation time : 15-20 minutes. Cooking time : 25-30 minutes. related searches : Indian
