Keep your ticker tickin?

By Glow From The Inside (Visit website)

Hello!  How are you?  Happy Tuesday!

I’ve been awake since before sunrise.  And it wasn’t for something fun like a workout.  I had to work on one of my papers.  The downside of procrastination!  BUT….I got it done, so I was pleased.  Now I just have to do the other one…ugh.

I stopped by Winn Dixie on my way back to work from my lunch break for a fruit snizzle!

Looove me some blackberries!  And this POM tea is fantabulous!

Dinner tonight was a recipe that came from this cookbook that the people at CanolaInfo.org were kind enough to send me to review.  (Thank you! :) )

No, I’m not diabetic, but I do love heart healthy anything.  Gotta take care of your ticker, ya know? ;)

(Diabetetic recipes aren’t just for diabetics.  The recipes focus a lot on low glycemic index stuff, so they’re healthy for anyone.)

Anyway, the cookbook is great!  It has a lot of delicious recipes in it, and as you can guess, they each use canola oil, which I’ve mentioned in previous posts is my favorite kind of oil to use.  I’ve used it in everything from brownies to stirfry because of it’s nutritional benefits.  Just check your pantry.  Chances are you’ve got at least some olive oil or vegetable oil. Compare those to canola oil and it has less saturated fat and more unsaturated fat (the good fats) than other common oils.

So tonight we made Creamy Beef, Mushrooms, and Noodles.  Although, ours was a little different since we used extra lean ground turkey instead of beef since we just had some a few days ago.  And we cut out the mayo (we aren’t mayo people).  But it was reeeally good! And super healthy!

Off to write this paper and have an enormous weight lifted off my chest!

Goodnight,

Michelle
