Ingredients:
For the beef strips:
300 grams beef
11/2 teaspoon red chili powder
3/4 teaspoon garam masala powder
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon ginger, minced
1 teaspoon garlic, minced
3 tablespoons oil (any refined cooking oil)
To taste, salt
For caramelized onions:
1 large onion, chopped finely
1/2 teaspoon ginger, minced
1/2 teaspoon garlic, minced
1 tablespoon tomato sauce
To taste, salt
For salad:
1/4 cup pineapple, cubed
1/2 cup tomatoes, cubed
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
A handful of fresh coriander leaves, chopped
To taste, salt and pepper
2 burger buns
1 tablespoon butter
3-4 spinach leaves

Preparation:

Cut the beef into thin strips. Mix all the ingredients for the beef strips together, and let the beef marinate for half an hour.

Heat oil in a pan. Fry the beef till it is cooked to your liking. Remove from oil and chop into thin strips.

Add the chopped onions to the same oil, and fry. Add ginger and garlic as well. Saute and once the onions have browned, add salt and tomato sauce. Mix well, and scoop out of the oil.

Mix together all the ingredients for the salad, seasoning as required.

Cut the burger buns in half, and apply butter on all sides. Warm over a pan.

To assemble the sandwich, place a couple of spinach leaves on one half of the bun. Top with a couple of tablespoons of the tomato pineapple salad, followed by some of the fried onions. Pile half of the beef strips on top, followed by some more onions.

Sandwich and enjoy hot.
