Masa, Finally
I’ve been wanting to dine at Masa for many months now, so I was psyched when my friend, Jacky, suggested having dinner there with a bunch of our friends last night.
While we waited for our group of 12 to arrive, a few of us caught-up and sipped cocktails by the bar. There was lots of mood lighting! To drink, I ordered a Bloody Masa, which was an 18-ingredient Bloody Mary mix with Sauza Blanco Tequila. It had a serious spicy kick to it! Absolutely amazing! Our meal started with delicious bread and homemade spreads. My favorite was the creamy maple one. Oh, how I love bread! Mal and I shared 2 tapas plates for dinner: Smoked Chicken Chimichangas with avocado and Roasted Pork Chorizo with fig and manchego cheese. Both were delicious, especially the fig + manchego! Masa totally met all of my expectations, but I was a bit bummed about their prices. I felt like the tapas (and entrees) were overpriced for what we got. I guess I’ll just have to go back for their $5 tapas deal on Thursdays. related searches : Masa
