McSkillet Burrito; Healthified!
One of my favorite things to do with food is to try to recreate restaurant/fast food meals. There have been so many times when I have ordered a meal, and loved it, but thought to myself “I could make this at home!”. And of course when I recreate meals at home, they are always healthier replicas of the original meal. Here is what I did with the McDonald’s McSkillet Burrito: Original Ingredients White flour tortilla
My Modified McSkillet Burrito Ingredients Whole wheat tortilla 1/4 cup egg beaters 1 egg with added DHA (Omega-3) 1/2 cup baked sweet potato chunks (see picture below) 1/2 cup sliced red and green bell pepper 1/4 cup sliced tomato 1 ounce Swiss cheese Garlic, pepper, a dash of salt Tiny bit of Red Hot ** I made this meat free, but you could try 2 ounces of lean turkey sausage if you wish **
