Mommy for a Day
It started out very well, with me thinking I’m very much prepared with this huge undertaking. I made breakfast, even getting Captain Awesome done and ready to go before noon. We went shopping for his jeans. I, of course, tackled the task like I would buying jeans for myself lol – dark jeans and clean cut. Worked fine. Yey. Downhill from there when I had to stop by Bath and Body Works. How do you keep the interest of an 8 year old boy in a place filled with different scents and pretty colors. Fail. Thankfully buying his bike was up next. But that came after buying groceries and towels for an auntie’s baking endeavors and party planning. After a stop at Bed Bath & Beyond, I realized I haven’t fed the kid – four hours after we left. I don’t know which was tougher, keeping him entertained or doing all the other stuff while making sure I was still being responsible for his safety. At home, he asked why don’t Chef and I get a child already. Today was probably not the day for me to answer that question. But I did. I said I want to be a bit more ready. And what in the world must a woman have to do to get ready for parenthood? No mommy for a day activities will do the task. In all fairness, Captain Awesome himself said he thinks I’m ready. And he is so convinced that infants are easier to take care of than him. So he said I’ll have more practice when I’m taking care of infants. Right. Nonetheless, I truly enjoyed it. Especially when Captain Awesome said he challenges me because I’m extremely smart. My feet just hurt a tad more than I was anticipating lol. And my biceps are burning for holding him on the bike. related searches : Mommy
