Pizza Snake
I have had a great time posting recipes this week. Thanks for all your fun comments. Hope you'll stop by next week for some of my greats. Have a Happy Halloween, have fun.......and may our pants still fit us on Monday. Dough 1 C boiling water1 C cold water1/3 C room temp water1 T yeast1 T salt2 T sugar 1 T Crisco4-5 C flour1 beaten egg Pizza Sauce 1 sm can tomato paste2 sm can tomato sauce1 t lemon juice1 T sugar3/4 t salt1 1/2 t Italian seasoning1 1/2 t oregano2 t parsley2 t Johnny's Garlic Seasoningpepperonigreen and red peppers1 sm can olives2 C mozzarella cheese1 C cheddar cheese (more of the cheese if you would like!)1. For the dough dissolve the yeast in the warm water. 2. Combine the sugar, salt, and Crisco in the bottom of your mixer. Smash together with a fork until combined. 3. Pour the boiling water over the sugar mixture. Pour the cold water over it, and then the lukewarm/yeasty water. 4. Add the flour 1 C at a time and mix, until dough scrapes the side of the mixer clean. Let mix on high for 5 minutes. 5. If you are making 5 baby snakes, split the dough into 5 equal parts and set them on a sprayed cookie sheet. Let them rest for about 5 minutes. 6. Spread each piece out flat on the pan. (as in the picture above) 9. Bake at 400 for 10 minutes, then turn down the oven and to 350 and bake for about 7 more minutes. This will give you a great crusty bread. 10. When the snake is cooked and cooled, cut a section out of the top for your pizza fillings. 12. Layer pepperoni and cheese over the sauce. Lay the peppers across the top. 13. Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees. (I let mine stay in a bit too long...about 17 minutes and it got too dark) 14. Cut out a fun face for your snake out of pepperoni, olives, peppers....whatever you can think of. Attach them with toothpicks. related searches : Pizza
