T. McGruff does Braised Green Kale
![]() T. McGruff, a very loyal and awesome follower of fiqfood, seems to be a really big fan of the kale. I don't blame him green kale is a hearty, flavorful, and healthy and is totally under utilized. This is T. McGruff's second attempt at a fiqfood recipe the first was Boerenkool Stampot, main ingredient green kale. Seems like he took my recipe and gave it an asian twist. Green kale and asian never really crossed my mind for some reason. I guess I always associate green kale with the Netherlands and never thought to take it asian. T. McGruff: "For my second round of FiqFood recipe trying I went with the kale. Sauteed an onion in olive oil. Added black pepper, garlic powder and crushed red pepper. Also a couple slugs of hot chili sesame oil. After browning, added kale, 1 cup of vegetable broth and some soy sauce. Cooked til the liquid evaporated. Very good. Thanks dude." T.
