Tamarind Chutney
The most important part of any CHAAT or Indian Snacks is the Tamarind Chutney.....This sweet n tangy preparation is very easy to make and can be stored for a long time.
Here is my method of making Tamarind Chutney.... Ingredients: 2 tablespoon Tamarind Concentrate 2 cups warm Water 1/4 cup Brown Sugar / Regular Sugar 1 tsp Salt 1 tsp Red Chili Powder 1 tsp Cumin Seeds {Dry Roasted & Powdered} Directions: Take warm water in a saucepan, add in the Tamarind paste. Mix well and make sure there is no lump left in the water. Keep the saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium. Add in the Brown/Regular Sugar. Whisk until the Sugar is dissolved. Mix in Salt, Cumin Seeds{dry roasted & powdered}, Red Chili Powder. Mix well. Simmer until thickened and syrupy { it should be enough thick to lightly coat the spoon. Once it will cool, it will be more thicken}. Serve with any Indian Snack. It can refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks. Good chefs always taste their recipe......Go ahead.....and say WOW!!!!!! related searches : Tamarind
