The fast and the furious
Ok – well I’m not actually furious, but I am running fast and losing steam by the minute so that makes me a little frustrated. The deli was slammin busy today so I am a little spent, but I have to keep going today. Linsey is skipping dance because she has her first choir concert at the high school tonight. She’s super excited and so am I. I was in choir in school and loved it! I think she is digging on it too. That makes me a proud mama. Lunch was a giant salad with a little bit of everything in it. I threw together all the veggies we had and a few leftover pieces of tofu and called it a meal. It worked! After picking up the girls we rushed home so they could veg in my bed eating Annie’s crackers while I busted my butt with Jillian Michaels in the living room. After the long day it was a little tougher to get threw the workout than it normally is, but I pushed myself and got it done. YAY! Now that the girls have changed clothes and are eating an early dinner… Whilst practicing their “I’m so not interested in the camera” moves… I can sit down and watch today’s episode of Oprah while enjoying this yogurt bowl. In the bowl is: 1 single serving of Chobani nonfat vanilla greek yogurt 1 small banana sliced 1 tbsp of TJ’s super-fruit spread 1 tbsp nut butter (cashew, peanut, almond blend) 1/2 scoop chia seeds Gotta go shovel it in so we make it to the show on time. I’ll give you a full recap tomorrow! I plan on singing along with the radio all the way to the school so that Linsey knows I’ve still got it and she’s not the only star in the family. Lucky for her the high school is only two blocks away! Sing out loud in the car even, or especially, if it embarrasses your children. ~ Marilyn Penland
