Til Bhugga Pinni or Til Ke Laddoo
"Til Bhuga Pinni" also known as till ke laddoo is one of the most special eats of winters in North India. It is enjoyed on the "Festival of Lohri" over Bonfire on 13th Jan every year along with Peanut and Sesame brittle / Gajjak. Most of my postings in coming weeks are going to be inspired by this "festival of lohri" mood that I am in. We are going to use a lot of Nuts, Jaggery & Sesame seeds (or Til). High on nutrion content, Sesame seeds are a very good source of - copper, calcium, magnesium, iron, phosphorus, vitamin B1, zinc and dietary fiber. Now that we have learned the nutrion quotient of this recipe, Let's give it a go......
Sesame seeds: 1 cup Condensed milk: 1/2 cup Grounded Nuts, raisins: 1/2 cup Khoa : 1/2 cup (easily available at indian grocery stores, else use milk powder) Cardamom powder : 1 tsp Click here for a printable version of this recipe - by My Creative Flavors Method: - Dry roast the white sesame seeds on low heat for 5 minutes, stirring continuously. Let it cool down and grind to make a coarse powder. If you are trying a small quantity, it can be easily crushed by hand in a mortar. Lightly warm up the khoa for just 2 minutes (or add milk powder) , add cardamom powder, grounded almonds, a handful of golden raisins. Add crushed sesame seeds and condensed milk to the mixture. Mix all the ingredients well and make small balls by gently rolling this dough in your hands. Decorate with few roasted sesame seeds, raisins and share !!!!! related searches : Til
