- Heat a pan and put in all the ingredients except coriander leaves and salt.
- Roast till the dhal turnd brown. Turn off the heat and put in the coriander leaves and saute till it releases a fine aroma and wilts.
- Transfer the contents to a plate and cool. Grind along with salt to a coarse powder.
- Store in an air tight container and refrigerate.
