Tom Yam Chicken
A spicy dish due to all the ingredients added inside. You will need the ready-made Thai sauce called "Mae Pranom Thai Chilly Paste" as this makes a big difference in the final taste of this chicken recipe. (see picture below) Let's now move on to the ingredients and making this dish. Ingredients I medium size chicken (cut into bite sizes, add 1 tbsp kunyit/saffron powder, salt to taste and deep fry) To blend/ground: 1 inch ginger 4 shallots 1 serai/lemon grass 4 cloves garlic 1 large tomato 1 inch lengkuas/galangal 10 red chillies (or as your prefer) 7 birds eye chillies/chilly padi Other ingredients: 10 lime leaves (tear into smaller pieces) 2 tbsp mae pranom thai chilly paste 1/2 cup coconut milk 8 tbsp oil salt to taste Method: When oil is heated, fry the blended/grounded ingredients into a thick paste and the oil starts to float. Lastly, add the fried chicken pieces and blend all together. Keep stirring continuously for another 3-4 mins before removing from heat. ?
