Travels : Hat Yai - Kerabi Island 4D 3N [dayTwo]

By Bitter Sweet Flavours (Visit website)

Waking up to a 4am morning call doesn't give much appetite for a big breakfast. Anyhow, we had dim sum there. Their food mostly are very similar to Malaysian hawker food but I was not very used to the way it taste. Though there was something I find very different from us..

where usually dim sum here is only served when you ask for them. They serve various dim sum on the table whether you want them or not. As long as you've touched the plates, it's considered as you want them. If you don't want them, just leave them on the table. At one point there were so many plates scattered around the tables and we just had to get them to take them away. So, the tour guide have prepared us with language tools.

want, which is "au au" and don't want, which is "miau miau"
It was confusing at first cause in Malay, "mau" which meant want.

Siew Yuk (BBQ pork)

While we were on the way to Kerabi, we passed by Jiu Zhai Gou. After the disaster in earthquake in Sze Chuan, they have closed their Jiu Zhai Gou which I have learnt that it's very beautiful place. This would be a thai version of the Jade Pond. We walked through the forest to get to this pond where the water is so clear it just looks like a piece of jade. The water is slightly warm and visitors were allowed to swim. It was pretty slippery though.

Finally, we got on a boat for island hopping and also snorkeling. The ocean was beautiful.
I just love the sea!
