Preheat your oven to 350°F. Draw or print a Halloween pumpkin and cut it out to use as a stencil. Unroll your puff pastry, place the stencil on it, and cut around it to form the pumpkin.
Beat the egg. With your finger, apply the egg wash around the contour of the pumpkin.
Place a teaspoon of apricot jam in the center of your pumpkin and spread it out.
Cut another pumpkin shape from the puff pastry, making sure to cut out the eyes and mouth this time. Place the cut pumpkin on top of the apricot jam to seal your pastry.
Press the edges to seal them. Brush the top with beaten egg to give it a golden color, then lightly sprinkle with icing sugar.
Repeat the process to make 5 flaky pumpkins. Bake them in the oven for 20 minutes at 350°F.
And there you have it, your flaky pumpkins are ready!
Observations
The jam: You can replace it with any jam of your choice.
