Week One is Done

By A Natural Kitchen (Visit website)

Back to School week has come and gone and so far so good. Except for a frantic moment when I thought I lost my camera with my many blog photos still in it, it was a successful week. Let's see how we did. Hot breakfasts-check. Meals planned-check. Yummy and healthful dinners-check. Healthy packed lunches-check. Blog still going-check. Kids happy and clean-check. Tired mom-double check.

So glad it's a three-day weekend. I can finally catch up on some needed sleep. I really think it's unnatural to be up before the sun comes out. I'm convinced we were meant to wake up, say, around 9:00. I'm serious. Why do workplaces and schools insist on starting so early in the morning. I think we would be so much more productive (and healthier and thinner) as a society if everything just started later.

After a summer of getting up late and taking long leisurely naps in the afternoon, it'll take at least one more week to get into the groove of being scheduled. In the meantime, here's to a relaxing Labor Day weekend to all you working folks!

On a different note, here are some lunches I packed for the girls this week.

Pasta w/ meat sauce, applesauce, homemade crackers, cheese, and avocado

Tofu, soy sauce/rice vinegar mixture (in small container), applesauce, nori, cucumber salad, grapes, and rice
