Born in the US during the 20th century, candy apples are the dentists nemesis. But who can't resist to the crunch of caramel marrying the sour taste of apple ?

Ingredients

• 2 apples (best with organic ones)
• 1/2 cup sugar
• some water
• red food colouring
• wooden skewers

Preparation

• After cleaning the apples, stick the skewers in them.
• In a pot at high heat, melt the sugar with some water, and add a few drops of red food colouring (not mandatory).
  Once the caramel is boiling, let it cook for around 5 minutes.
• Quickly dip the apples in it, and roll them so the caramel will cover them well. It must be liquid, so don't hesitate to heat it again if it's too thick.
  After that, put the apples on baking paper to cool down.
• There you are, enjoy !
