French chouquettes are choux with some sugar pearls on top ! A light snack you'll love to eat with your coffee or tea !


Number of serving: 4
1/2 cup water

1/4 cup butter

2/3 cup flour

sugar pearls


  • Step 1 - French chouquettes
    In a pot, put the water to heat with the butter and the salt. When the butter has melted, add the flour and stir until the dough comes off the pot.
  • Step 2 - French chouquettes
    Take out of the heat, and add the eggs, one by one, stiring each time.
  • Step 3 - French chouquettes
    With a piping bag, or spoons, form the choux, making a ball. Beat the egg and brush the choux with it.
  • Step 4 - French chouquettes
    Sprinkle with sugar pearls.
  • Step 5 - French chouquettes
    Bake 20 min at 350°F (180°C). Switch off the oven and remove the chouquettes after 10 minutes.
  • Step 6 - French chouquettes
    Leave to cool down completely and there you are ! Chouquettes are ready !




Do not hesitate to fill the chouquettes with a chocolate ganache or whipped cream ;-)
