Chicken chow mac (asian style macaroni)

Ingredients

Number of serving: 1
1 1/3 cup of macaroni

1 egg, beaten

1 tsp of chilli flakes

2 garlic cloves, chopped

4 chicken terderloins, diced

A handful of bean sprouts

A small bunch of chives, cut 2 inches lengthwise

2 tbsp soy sauce

2 tbsp kecap manis

1 drop of sesame oil

1/2 tsp white pepper

Preparation

  • Marinate chicken with sesame oil, white pepper and a pinch of salt. Set aside.
  • Heat pan with 2 tbsp of oil. When the oil starts to glisten, add in egg and fry until 3/4 way cooked on medium heat.
  • Push the eggs to one side of the pan, saute garlic and chilli flakes until aromatic.
  • Add chicken to the egg mixture and saute until they are cooked.
  • Add macaroni, soy sauce and kecap manis to the chicken mixture. Stir to combine and cook for further a minute or two.
  • Add in bean sprouts and some chives and cook until they are slightly soften.
  • Sprinkle some chives over the macaroni just before serving.
