Fried minced beef kofta

This is an egyptian cuisine. Minced beef with an asian touch ^_^ marinated with onions and soy sauce . This goes well with tahini sauce,pita bread or plain rice and veggie salad.


Number of serving: 5
1 kilo ground beef

1 large onion

1 tbsp all that spice

4 tbsp soya sauce

1 tbsp vinegar

1 tsp chili powder

1 tsp black pepper powder

dash of salt

Oil for frying

green veggies for presentation

For coating:

1 cup flour

1 tsp chili powder

1 tsp oregano powder

1 tsp coriander powder


  • Directions:

    Mix all ingredients except the oil and veggies. marinate for30 minutes or more . then form into a fingerlike or balls . roll unto your prepared coating .
  • Heat the oil in frying pan and dip in your kofta one at a time . don't overcrowd them to get a better result .
  • Meanwhile , prepare your favorite green veggies in a serving tray and place directly your fried kofta on it . Decorate it with some slice tomatoes and lemon and your done!
