Keema (minced meat) and macaroni bake
Its keema and macaroni on the menu today. I can already imagine the excitement on the dining table, as it is a huge favorite of my hubby and two kids. I think, the combination of minced meat with the white sauce, served hot with the melting mozzarella cheese on the top makes this dish a perfect 10.

- Heat oil in a pan and saute the onions till golden brown.
Add the garlic, saute and add the mutton mince.
Add the tomato puree, coriander powder, cinnamon powder and salt. - Saute the keema adding a little water and simmer and cook, covered for 15 minutes. Uncover, and simmer for 15 minutes more till done.
Remove from heat and set aside.
Meanwhile boil the macaroni with a little salt, drain and set aside. - To assemble the dish :
Brush a 9 by 13 dish with butter. Spread the boiled macaroni at the bottom.Sprinkle with a bit of garlic powder. - Layer the keema on top of macaroni
- Cover it completely with the white sauce
- Sprinkle with the mozzarella cheese and bake in a preheated oven at 200 C for 25 minutes until nicely golden.
- Serve hot.
