Mangai paruppu/ raw mango dal



Ingredients:

- Raw mango - 1/2 cup peeled & cubed
- Thuvar dal - 1/2 cup
- Onion - 1/2 medium size chopped
- Tomato - 1/2 medium size chopped
- Green chille - 4 to 5
- Curry powder - 1/2 tsp
- Tumeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Hing - pinch
- water as required
- Salt to taste
- Garlic - 2 pods crushed
- Red chille - 1 or 2
- Mustard - 1/4 tsp
- Curry leaves - required
- Oil - 2 tsp

Preparation:

Step 1:

Pressure cook Thuvar dal, raw mango, onions, tomato, green chille, turmeric powder, curry powder, hing with required amount of water.

Step 2:

Mash the cooked mango dal mixture with potato masher and add reqired salt.

Step 3:

In a Kadai, add Seasoning ingredients. Let it splutter, then add to the cooked raw ango dal.

Step 4:

Serve hot.
