Raw mango - 1/2 cup peeled & cubed

Thuvar dal - 1/2 cup

Onion - 1/2 medium size chopped

Tomato - 1/2 medium size chopped

Green chille - 4 to 5

Curry powder - 1/2 tsp

Tumeric powder - 1/4 tsp

Hing - pinch

water as required

Salt to taste

Garlic - 2 pods crushed

Red chille - 1 or 2

Mustard - 1/4 tsp

Curry leaves - required

Oil - 2 tsp


  • Pressure cook Thuvar dal, raw mango, onions, tomato, green chille, turmeric powder, curry powder, hing with required amount of water.
  • Mash the cooked mango dal mixture with potato masher and add reqired salt.
  • In a Kadai, add Seasoning ingredients. Let it splutter, then add to the cooked raw ango dal.
  • Serve hot.
