- Heat the pan, add the butter and let it dissolve(don't let it to brown). Now add the milk and leave to boil.
- Stiring continuously, after 4 boils keep in medium flame. When the milk reduces to 11/2 cups and thick, add the sugar, salt, food colour and stir well.
- Be careful keep in low flame and stir till the right kova consistency is reached. When it leaves the pan without sticking, add the cardomom powder and stir well.
- Convert to serving bowl and garnish with cashews/pista.
