Travel to india with this delicious dahl ! This recipe is full of plant proteins and naturally Vegan ;-)

  • Red lentil dhal - Preparation step 1Pour oil in a pot. Cook the chopped onion with the cumin.
  • Red lentil dhal - Preparation step 2Add garlic, ginger, clove, chili powder, cilantro powder, cardamom powder and stir.
  • Red lentil dhal - Preparation step 3Add the tomato paste and the coconut cream. Mix and simmer for 5 minutes. In the meantime, rinse the lentils.
  • Red lentil dhal - Preparation step 4Add the lentils, salt, pepper and water. Stir and cover. Cook for 15-20 minutes after boiling.

  • Red lentil dhal - Preparation step 6There you are ! Your dahl is ready ! Serve it with some rice and a naan :D

Observations

You can replace ginger powder by fresh ginger and coconut cream by coconut milk.

If you like it spicy :
Cook the lentils separately. Add them into the sauce and stir for 5 minutes.
