Mirchi thecha/ mirchi kharda/ green chilli chutney

8-10 green chillies

1 big garlic pod

-1 teaspoon cumin seeds

Salt as per taste

1 1/2 tbspn oil


  • Roughly cut the garlic & chillies.
  • Heat the oil in tava/ griddle.
  • Add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add garlic and saute till its takes nice light brown colour. Sauteed Garlic and Green Chillies.
  • Add green chilies and saute for another 2-3 minutess (note the time). Add salt and mix well.
  • Turn off heat and transfer to a blender. Let it cool & blend just for a while. Make sure not to make it to a paste. Step 6: Serve with Bhakri (Bajra Roti).
  • Served with Bhakri.
