Homemade ferrero rochers

Discover our super crunchy homemade rocher which are sure to brighten up your taste buds! If you are a fan of Ferrero Rochers, we assure you that you will love this recipe! With its mixture of spread, toasted hazelnuts and lacy crepes, all coated in delicious crunchy chocolate, you won't be able to resist it!

Materials
- Bowl
- Chopper/ Blender
- Spoon
- Knife
- Parchment paper
Preparation
- Roast the hazelnuts for 10 minutes in an oven preheated to 350°F (180°C).
- Allow the hazelnuts to cool before removing the skin by rolling them under your hands.
- Set 2.5 oz of roasted hazelnuts aside and mix them with the lacy crepes in a chopper/blender.
- Pour a large quantity of this mixture into a salad bowl with the spread. The rest will be used to roll the balls.
- Mix everything well and place the salad bowl in the refrigerator for an hour.
- Take a tablespoon of mixture. Place a whole roasted hazelnut in the center of the dough and form a ball with your hands.
- Roll the ball in the remaining hazelnut + crepe mixture.
*You will be able to make approximately 10 rochers. - Place the formed balls on a plate and set aside in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
*If you want them to be very cold, first place them in the fridge for 45 minutes then in the freezer for 15 minutes.
- Crush 2 oz hazelnuts and mix with the previously melted dark chocolate.
- Dip the rocks into the melted chocolate + hazelnut mixture and cover them well. Drain if necessary.
- Place the coated rochers on a tray covered with parchment paper and chill for at least 30 minutes.
- And there you are, your Ferrero Rochers are ready! Enjoy :-D
Observations
How to store homemade Ferrero Rochers?
Put them in an airtight container in the fridge, you can keep them for 3 to 4 days.
Can we replace hazelnuts?
You can use almonds or pecans instead.
Can we replace dark chocolate?
If you prefer, replace the dark chocolate with milk chocolate or white chocolate.
Which spread to use?
You can opt for any hazelnut spread!
Can you freeze homemade Ferrero Rocher?
This is not recommended if you want to be able to experience all the flavors to the fullest.
