For a snack full of deliciousness and color, opt for these M&M's shortbread cookies! Easy to make, we explain everything step by step in the steps below ↓ We can assure you that kids (and grown-ups) will love them!

Ingredients

• 75 g sugar
• 1 pinch salt
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 100 g soft butter
• 1 egg
• 200 g flour
• 200 g milk chocolate (approx.)
• m&m's or smarties

Materials

• bowl, whisk, cling film, floured work surface, baking tray, oven

Preparation

• Prepare the shortbread dough: whisk together the sugar, salt, vanilla, and soft butter. Add the egg and mix well.
• Add the flour in several stages: start by mixing with a whisk, then finish with your hands.
  
• Wrap the dough in cling film and flatten it. Chill for 15 minutes.
• Roll out the dough on a floured work surface. Cut into rectangles measuring 3.5 x 1.5 inches (9 x 4 cm).
  
• Add small strips measuring 0.2 x 3.5 inches (0.5 x 9 cm) to the top of the pastry rectangles, pressing them down to stick.
• Bake for 10 minutes at 350°F (180°C), then leave to cool completely. Fill the inside of the cookies with melted milk chocolate.
  
• Finally, place M&M's or smarties of all colors in the chocolate and chill for 15 minutes.
• All set!
