A day of Good Eats

By Eat, Drink and Be Aware (Visit website)

Good Evening!

I am adjusting to our new summer hours and having the kids home, so am just getting around to blogging right now. It has been another busy day, Zoe went to Art Class and Emmet tagged along with me this morning while I taught Baby Boot Camp and had a personal training session. It is great because one of my Baby Boot Campers brings her older son's to class as well, and the boys have a forged a friendship. Emmet did not have to come this morning but asked if he could. Love it! I don't have to feel like a bad mother because I am working.

So the day started out well (began with oats) and then we headed downtown to pick Zoe up when we got a call from my hubby bribing us to stay out of the house by telling us to go out to lunch at Whole Foods on him! My husband works from home so summer's can be challenging.

Cinnamon Apple Oats

1/2 cup of rolled oats
3/4 cup of water
1/4 cup of skim milk
1 tablespoon Pizzey's UltaGrad Milled Flax

Topped with

1/2 apple, diced
Cinnamon
zapped in the microwave for 60 seconds

I must admit, that this was not one of my best bowls, but I think that is because I like my apples raw and crunchy and this just did not do it for me. It still was oatmeal, so I liked it, but did not LOVE it!

I brought the other half of the apple with me for a snack and enjoyed it with a nice Latte that I got at Mozart's Coffee while waiting for Zoe to get out of class.

We then headed over to Whole Foods where I got a delicious salad from the Salad Bar. The kids and I ate outside and then they played on the playground on the rooftop.

My afternoon snack consisted of:

1/2 cup of Fiber One Cereal
1/4 cup of blueberries
1/4 cup of Almond Breeze Unsweetened Milk

I squeezed in my Bosu/Weighted Bar Workout as well as some Glider Abs.

Dinner was my favorite! Avocado Boca Burger with Confetti Slaw and Cantaloupe.

I topped the night off with 1 Double Dipped Malt Ball, 1 Dark Chocolate Covered Cashew and 1 Dark Chocolate Covered Almond. Yum!

We are off to take a family walk with our dog "Gumbo". Have a great evening and I should not have as crazy a day tomorrow.
