Foodbuzz 24, 24, 24: English High Tea with My Family and Me!

By Maman and Gourmand (Visit website)

I think it is safe to say I have been gone for a little bit. Most of you know why. The flu hit my family big time. I have come away unscathed....until today...the day that I am posting this. Ugh. I had committed myself to the Foodbuzz 24,24,24 which I was very excited about. That was before we all got sick lol. Be that as it may I conquered! It was a feastival. Everything was as handmade as it gets. So yum! Needless to say I don't have to bake for awhile hehe. It was interesting to see the looks on thier faces when I brought item after item out. So did I do this all in one day...we ate it sure...but I baked for two days strait. Then on top of everything my husband had to work till 11p.m. on Saturday...yeah...so he got home 15 minutes before midnight (we are supposed to have the meal on the 30th). We definately started eating on the 30 but were still going into the 31st lol. Y'all should come over I have lots of leftovers! Natalie (the 11 month old) loved the petite fours...she kept kicking her legs and growling as she suck on the petit four. I have never made them before. I made a lovely vanilla bean geniose and enrobed them in artisan white chocolate. Madeline's favorite was the sandwiches (yes they were up...it was a special occasion!). She loved the egg salad the best but picked the bacon out :(. Joshua was blown away by the blueberry scones...as was Alan but I think he loved the strawberry mousse filled puffpastry the best. That or the chicken curry sandwiches. So what was my favorite? Chocolate covered strawberry lollipops! I want to say a big thank you to Foodbuzz who made this possible! Enough talk...you are here for the food!
