Happy Wednesday (sorta!)

By Emily Eats Clean (Visit website)

In my brain it’s Wednesday because I’m off on Friday………..YAY for being half way through the week already!  :)

The food surplus started off early this morning (as usual) as I was headed out the door to the gym.

Did you expect anything different other than homemade bread?!  Common people!  It was topped with natural almond butter and a mug of coffee with 1 truvia and skim milk.

Hit up some cardio with Kimmie today and then did the circuit of upper body machines:  chest press, shoulder press (HATE!!! these), rows, lat pulldowns, bicep curls, tricep extensions.  Also, did a few ab exercises.

Breakfast:

Ummm that would be oatmeal people, in case you can’t tell.  Would anyone else like to join in and agree with me that I might have gone a little overboard with the greek yogurt in the oats?!?!  hehe :)

1 smashed banana
1/2 cup oats
3/4 cup H2O

Microwaved above ingredients for 2 minutes, then added too much Greek yogurt, needed about 2 spoonfuls, I used about 80 4.  Also added cinnamon.  Definitely still edible, just a little more greek yogurt-ish tasting than oatmeal should be!  :)

Threw lunch together at work:

Made this little beauty of a pizza with:

Ezekiel whole wheat english muffin
store-bought pizza sauce
mushrooms
spinach
Monterey jack cheese

Assembled and microwaved for about 1 minute.  Sliced up an apple on the side.

English muffin pizzas are the bomb-dot-com!!!  :)

Afternoon snack (#1):

I love this Larabar!  However, it didn’t fill me up for long enough today.  Therefore,

Afternoon snack #2 was a must!

Kashi oatmeal was found in my food stash at work.  Best way to fix packaged oatmeal…..pour hot water straight into package and stir.  Learned this little trick while camping with the old roomie Lauren.

Added some raisins and enjoyed!!  And best part……no clean-up required!  :)

Dinner:

So by the time I got off work at 7:30, Russell had already eaten.  His new love = Which Wich!

So the hubby-love ended up bringing me a sandwich home.

My sandwich:

whole wheat bread
chicken
pesto
salsa
red onions
lettuce
tomato
bell peppers
mushrooms
pepper

Love.this.place!!  Their sandwiches are soooo good!!!  I added celery and carrot sticks with salsa for dipping on the side.  Even though it was delicious, I didn’t finish my sandwich or my celery……I guess all the veggies filled me up pretty quickly!!

I did have enough room for a few handfuls of these babies though:

YAY for tomorrow being my Thursday!!  :) I need to go to bed early tonight….Kim and Tyler have convinced me to make it to Tyler’s earrrrrrly cycle class in the morning!!!  I’ll be sipping coffee out of my water bottle tomorrow morning.  Ha! :)

Question of the night:  Do you find more energy for working out in the morning or the evening??  How do you stay motivated to workout?
