In the New Year
Happy New Year!
Do you make New Year?s Resolutions? I have before, and I?m pretty sure I?ve never completed one of them. I get hesitant to set huge goals and new life rules. Mainly resolutions of any kind. But this is going to be a big year. 2011 will hold many new chapters of life and the closing of many old ones. 2011 wills turning 24. graduating from college. moving out from my parents house. starting a career or life supporting job. and these are just to name a few. All of these things will happen. But there are a few things I want to accomplish since I?ll be venturing out into this new chapter of life titled: Self Supporting Adult. 2011 wants to have a fitness routine that?s easy to continue to eat healthy real foods be a better blogger stay in my simply great place I?m not setting any new goals. Just wanting to maintain the ones I?ve built up since starting to live a healthy life. Breakfast To start the new year off right I enjoyed some of Ann?s Oatmeal Pancakes. I swear I?m stealing this recipe. I ate two cakes with a very tasty Swedish jam I found in the Tahoe fridge. I paired it with two cuties and a mug of joe. The Simply Great Place a long time ago I wrote a page on my blog Simply Maren about finding my Simply Great Weight. I wanted to find a weight that was easy to maintain where I could eat what I wanted, never feel deprived, and feel good. I didn?t want to be on a diet but I also wanted to be healthy and live at a healthy weight. I?ve changed my mentality about weight and focus from weight loss to just living a healthy life. My Simply Great Place is just eating right, doing my workouts regularly, living in the healthy ranges for my body type and being a happy person. Last year through blogging with a focus on eating right and cooking I?ve found my Simply Great Place. There have been rough patches and moments where I wasn?t happy. But I?m starting this year in that great place and I want to continue to be there this year. Last year I focused on work. Getting to that place. Healing from things and learning how to recover. This year I want to maintain. 2011 is going to be a good year. Bring it on! Did you set resolutions for yourself this year?
