Spicy and Cool delights..!
Hi Friends,
Greetings for a wonderful day to all..!:) Here I'm bringing for you a Non-Veg spicy dish, a Cool chill drink and a Tasty breakfast. 1. Mutton Spicy Curry: ![]() Ingredients: 1. Mutton with bones - 1/2 kg, 2. Onions - 3 finely chopped, 3. Tomato - 2 finely chopped, 4. Curry leaves - 2 strings, 5. Green chilly - 1 Slit lengthwise, 6. Turmeric powder - 2 tsp, 7. Red chilly powder - 3 tsp, 8. Coriander powder - 4 tsp, 9. Garam masala powder - 1 tsp, 10. Fresh black pepper powder - 2 tsp, 11. Salt - as needed, 12. Kadal paasi(Stone algae) - 1 pinch, 13. Dried bay leaf - 2, 14. Ginger-garlic paste - 3 tsp, 15. Oil - as needed, 16. Cilantro for garnish. To grind: 1. Grated coconut - 1/2 cup, 2. Poppy seeds - 1 tsp, 3. Cashews - 4, 4. Fennel seeds - 1 tsp. To crush: 1. Cinnamom - 1 stick, 2. Cloves - 2, 3. Fennel seeds - 1 tsp. How to make this?1. Pressure cook the cleaned mutton with a tsp of ginger-garlic paste, water, little salt and turmeric powder for 6 whistles/till done and cool. 2. Grind and crush the ingredients given and keep aside. 3. Heat oil in kadai, add the crushed spices, onions, green chilly, curry leaves, kadalpaasi, bay leaves and saute well till transparent. 4. Add the ginger-garlic paste and saute a min. Now add the tomatoes and saute well till they get mashed. Add the turmeric powder, red chilly powder, garam masala, coriander powder, salt and saute well till raw flavour goes. 5. Now add the cooked mutton with the stock and mix well and leave to boil. Add water if needed. 6. When the curry thickens a little, add the ground coconut paste and leave for boiling. 7. Add oil on the top and simmer to leave the oil to float on top. 8. Adjust taste and add the black pepper powder and garnish with cilantro. Taste great with mutton briyani, white rice and chappati..! 2. Tomato dhal chutney: This is my dad's favourite chutney, my Mom makes it for breakfast and dinner. I love it with spongy dosa..! Here's the recipe for you dears... ![]() and Srilekha's EFM Breakfast ![]() Ingredients: 1. Big Tomato - 1 Chopped, 2. Onion - 2 Chopped, 3. Dry red chillies - 7, 4. Urad dhal - 4 tsp, 5. Curry leaves - 2 strings, 6. Salt - as needed, 7. Mustard seeds - 1 tsp, 8. Asefeotida powder - 1 tsp, 9. Oil - as needed. How to make this? 1. Heat oil in kadai, fry the urad dhal till golden brown and remove it. Add the red chillies and fry a minute and remove. 2. In the same oil, add the onions, 1 string curry leaves and saute well till they turn tender, now add the chopped tomatoes and saute till they get mashed. Cool this. 3. In a blender, add the sauted onions, curryleaves, tomatoes, dhal, red chillies, salt in to a smooth consistency. 4. Heat oil in kadai, add the mustard seeds, let them splutter. Add the asefeotida powder and curry leaves and add the ground chutney and enough water. Adjust taste and leave for a boil and switch off the flame. Juicy ripe Tomatoes - 2 chopped, 2. Sugar - as needed, 3. Water - 1 cup. How to make this? Put the tomatoes in a blender and blend well. Convert in to a bowl, add enough sugar and water and mix well. Adjust taste and refregirate it. Serve chill..!:) Yummy..!
