Teppanyaki Lunch at Nihon Bashi-Tei
US Beef getting cooked. Wagyu fat on its way to fried rice.I kept Dihia company during his Makati rounds. We got hungry and decided to fetch Achie and rush to Nihon Bashi-Tei. It was late and Japanese Restaurants in Makati are known to have breaks in the afternoon. We had to call the restaurant and ask if they could wait for us. Thank you Nihon Bashi-Tei for waiting! What?s nice about this restaurant is they have monthly promos. You can eat a lunch set at an affordable price. We dined in the 2nd floor, Teppanyaki Style. We were starving because it was already 2 in the afternoon. So we started our meal with an order of Spicy Tuna(Php220) and Tempura Maki (Php180). By far the best Spicy Tuna I?ve ever tasted. Why? Because it was sweet-spicy-crunchy -- YUM! Spicy Tuna Tempura MakiFor our main, we ordered US Beef Teppanyaki (Php650/200g) and Gomoku Chahan (Seafood Fried Rice ? Php200). Carb overload! US Beef Teppanyaki IngredientsAnd since Dihia?s been a regular customer, our fried rice had Wagyu chicharon -- toasted bits of Wagyu fat. Look at how he was able to catch & break the egg. Gomoku Chahan in the making. Gomoku ChahanAnyways for the Beef Teppan, we were given the Fruity Sauce, Flavored Mustard and I requested for the all-time steak dressing -- Sautéed Kikkoman Butter. US Beef Teppanyaki Clockwise from top: Sauteed Kikkoman-Butter.Flavored Mustard. Fruity Sauce Once again, thanks Dihia!
