Weekend randomness
Happy Saturday! My day’s been filled with stuff, but its been fun! How’s your day been? Hopefully great! Disclaimer: This is the post of randomness. Seriously. It includes everything for cats to bumper cars to granola bars. Prepare yourself. First, I must start off with cat pics. My fur-babies have been quite photogenic lately, if I do say so myself. Sissy struck her best yoga post for her photo shoot Check out that belly. And Rocky played all nonchalant for his photo-op Ohhh I just love our cats!! They add so much personality to our house!! Next, on the agenda for this blog post of randomness is regarding how my day started off. Depending how long you’ve been reading my blog you may or may not know that I’m a former beauty queen aerobics instructor. I taught anywhere from 1 to 4 classes a week and loooooved it, but had to give up all my classes due to my crazy hours at the clinic. BUT, somehow after 7 months of not teaching a single class, I got suckered into teaching 2 classes this morning! Ahhhhh I was completely freakin’ out this morning!! I did make sure, though, to prepare myself both mentally and physically. For mental preparation, I pulled out my aerobics notebook I went through some old class routines and decided for the Weekend Warrior class to go with 5 circuits, each circuit consisting of strength exercises, cardio bursts, and ab exercises. Need aerobic class ideas??? Check out turnstep.com for class formates/routines posted by other instructors. You can find cycle routines, step aerobics routines, weight routines, and even ideas for combo classes!! So following mental preparation, I needed food to ensure that I was fueled for both Weekend Warrior and Spin class. Have I seriously gone through a whole jar of sunflower butter already?? Ooops. This mornings OIAJ: 1/2 cup oats 3/4 cup water 1 banana raisins remaining sunflower butter Perfection! My classes went well…..there was small attendence in both, but that’s okay. I was definitely more comfortable in cycle than in the Weekend Warrior class. But, I made it through them both and got paid to sweat my butt off…….great start to my day! This afternoon lots of family fun occurred! Russell and I were total kids this afternoon. We partook in bumper cars, lazertag, go carts, and arcade games with our nephew [this was his birthday present!], Russell’s sister and her boyfriend. The guys took the arcade games waaay too seriously! Check out Taro in the background shootin’ up something …..haha. We had a great time: Note to self: Don’t spin like a rabid creature in bumper cars Emily….you’re much too old….ugh barf. We were at Fun Expedition much longer than I expected. Thankfully, I had a snack in my purse While these Carman’s bars aren’t my favorite, it was a much better option [health-wise] compared to the ice cream, candy, and soft drinks that were served at the arcade. When we got Taro back home we visited their new family additions: Chicken #1 and Chicken #2. They also have an awesome garden! I was so lucky to come home with some fresh basil and tomatoes! Told you it was a post of randomness!! related searches : Weekend
