To a cup of luke warm water, add the yeast, 1/2 tsp sugar and a pinch of salt. Let it stand for about 5-10 minutes until the yeast forms a froth on top.
In a bowl, Mix sifted flour and salt. Add the yeast water and enough luke warm water and mix well until it forms a soft dough. Start kneading by adding oil little by little for about 10 minutes.
Cover and let sit in a warm place for 2-3 hours. Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Take the dough on to a flat surface, and dusting with little flour, roll it flat. Grease a baking sheet and lay the rolled dough.
Brush with oil. Spread the marinara sauce. Add the toppings and cheese and bake for about 15 minutes or until the cheese melts and crust turns golden brown.
Sprinkle some crushed red pepper and garlic powder if preferred.
