Tomato and serrano ham toast - the perfect spanish tapas
For a super simple, quick and no-bake meal, we always go for toast! Today, we are preparing a version with delicious Spanish flavors, inspired by the famous "pan con tomate", the famous tapas made from toasted bread, with grated garlic and tomatoes and obviously a drizzle of olive oil. And for even more deliciousness, we decided to add Serrano ham, but you can absolutely vary them to your taste :-)

Observations
How to store tomato and ham toast?
We recommend that you eat them directly after making them. The toast could lose its crunch. If you must keep them, refrigerate them.
Can we replace ham?
You can replace the Serrano ham with Parma ham for example.
Can we replace the tomato when it is no longer in season?
Here is an alternative to pan con tomate that is easy to make when tomatoes are no longer in season: you can use canned peeled tomatoes; whole or in pieces. Mix the crushed peeled tomatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper and crushed garlic and place a generous amount on your toast before topping it with ham. To you, tomato and ham sandwiches all year round!
How much filling to put on the toast?
Generously garnish your toast. Depending on the size of the slices, you can add more or less filling.
