Whisk the egg whites
In a bowl, beat the yolks with sugar until creamy
Add butter and mix
Add the milk gradually
Then add flour and lemon peels
Finally, gently add egg whites with a spatula
Pour the mix in a previously greased cake pan, and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake for 50 minutes at 300°F Leave at room temperature for 1 hour, then put it in the fridge for 2 hours before gently unmold it. It's a very important step since the layers are going to form while cooling.
Nowhere does the recipe tstate the size of the pan. It also shows a pan with removable sides. Surprise! Due to the batter being so thin, it leaks out through the bottom even with parchment paper lining. Don't waste your time or ingredients.
