Microwave cooking--- yummy double layered chocolate burfi!!

Ingredients

Number of serving: 8
5 cups (40 ounces)-Instant Dry Milk (Milk Powder)

1 pint / 473 ml- Heavy Whipping Cream

1.25 cup - Powdered Sugar

2 tablespoons- Baking/Cooking Semi-sweet Chocolate

1 teaspoon- Cocoa Powder (unsweetened)

Preparation

  • In a microwave safe bowl add: Instant Dry Milk, Powdered Sugar and Heavy Whipping Cream. Mix very well.
  • Put the bowl in the microwave for a minute. After a minute, take it out and mix it well. Repeat step 3 for about 6-8 minutes. Make sure you take it out after every minute and mix it well.
  • Some microwave takes upto 8 minutes. Every microwave is different, look for the mixture fluffing and folding in. Keep and eye on it and make sure it does not spill over. Stop cooking once the mixture folds in.
  • Mix again and pour 3/4th of the mixture onto a greased (or lines with wax paper) baking pan or thali. Spred and level out the mixture.
  • To the balance of the mixture in the bowl, add in the Cocoa Powder and Chocolate Chips while it's still hot. Mix till all the powder is mixed in and the Chips have melted.
  • Pour the balance of the mixture to form a top layer. Allow the Burfi to set and solidify. ( for 2-4 hours).
  • Cut into desired shape. Store in the refrigerator and serve at room temperature.
