Chicken fried rice
Chicken Fried Rice
Preparation

Wash and soak the rice for at least 15 minutes. Soak the rice at night and keep in fridge to prepare in the morning.

Boil 5 cups of water and add 1 teaspoon salt. When it boils add the drained rice and cook until the basmati is fully cooked.

Drain and keep it ready. While the rice is cooking, cut the vegetables into small cubes. You can use the mixed vegetables availbe in packets.

Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add the chopped celery and grated garlic.

Saute until the garlic turns golden brown. Add the chopped onion and carrot. Add salt and saute for 3 minutes.

When the carrots are a bit cooked add in the capsicum. Saute for another 1 minute. Mix in shredded chicken pieecs.

Add pepper at this point.Mix in the rice, and finally the spring onions. Switch off the fire and serve.
