- 1)Indian Rice Noodles / Idiyappam:
Mix 1 cup of rice flour with the required amount of boiled water and salt. Knead them into a smooth dough. Put a small portion of the dough in the Idiayappam mould and press them in Idli Moulds. Steam them till they are cooked well.
For Sweet Idiayappam:
Mix all the ingredients with the steamed Idiyappam. - 2)For Kara Idiyappam (2 methods):
First method:
Heat oil in a pan. Add the mustard and urad dhal. When they stop spluttering, add the curry leaves and red chillies. Finally add the steamed Idiyappam and mix them well.
Second Method:
Heat oil in a pan. Add the mustard and urad dhal. When they stop spluttering, add the curry leaves and red chillies. Add the lemon extract along with a pinch of turmeric powder . Finally add the steamed Idiyappam and mix them well.
